Sally's Thoughts... Cleaning Out Closets
Good Morning Ladies,
Do any of you ever clean out your closets? I like to clean mine out twice a year – once in the fall and once in the spring. If I haven’t worn it in the past year, it goes. I know none of you have to guess what I do with this empty space in my closet. All of you would be correct; I fill it up with new and exciting fashions for the upcoming season! The funny thing is, I hate to shop.
2 Peter 2:20-22 and Matthew 13:43-45 say it all. I’ll let you all look it up. They are both brutal and to the point. I love how the Bible doesn’t fool around; it means what it says. It is talking about cleaning up our lives and filling the empty spaces. I know there are many things I am working on. As a matter of fact, the list is long. I know you all work on things too. When we succeed with what we’ve been working on, we have to fill that empty space with something or what we have conquered will come back, and it will be worse. What do we fill the empty space with? Jesus! We read our Bibles, pray, spend time with Him, praise Him in song, etc. Bottom line is we fill the empty space with Jesus.
I don’t want to be the “dog that returns to its vomit”. I want to purposefully fill the empty spaces with Jesus. What about you? What are the things you are working on? Work on those things with Jesus, and then when they are conquered fill that void with Him. I know every one of you can do it, and ladies, please know that if you ever need anyone to pray with you or for you, you can always call or email me. I would be honored to do it.
In Him,
Sally
