Camp Skyline rests on a gentle, sloping ground with beautiful shrubbery
and flowers throughout the campgrounds. The many buildings are
designed comfortably and attractively to enhance the natural beauty
surrounding them.
The camp property is divided into two living
areas. Older age groups live across the river
in Summerplace or Riverside.
Summerplace is an 8-room log cabin with a large
front porch. Riverside campers are served breakfast in their own
dining room. Other meals are enjoyed in the main dining hall with
the other campers. Both Riverside and Summerplace rooms have connecting
bathroom facilities. A shower house is located between the buildings.
Located among tall, graceful trees, the "Hut
Row" cabins are spacious enough to accommodate 14 to 18 junior campers.
They are spaced adequately and are conveniently located near the Dining
Hall, Gymnasium, and Lodge. Each area of Hut Row has centrally
located shower houses. Each Hut Row cabin
has its own restroom. A minimum of two Senior Counselors and at
least one Junior Counselor are caring for each cabin.
The infirmary is located near the office and
has a motto all its own: "Limp In - Leap Out!" The Infirmary is
well-equipped and spacious. For your medical care we have two
registered nurses on staff. Baptist Medical Center is only 20
minutes away in Fort Payne, Alabama, with 911 emergency care provided.
