Dedication and Experience... Camp Skyline's leadership is made up of a staff of experienced camp professionals. Each member has been involved in the camping community for a number of years. Directors Sally and Larry Johnson head skyline. Alisa Harrison, Rebecca Grogan, Aja White, and Wendy Brown serve as Assistant Directors.
Sally is married to Larry Johnson, who graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. He performed with the Florida State Circus at Calloway Gardens for three years, and has previously served as Circus Master at Skyline.
Alisa began her career with
Skyline in the summer of 1996. Throughout these nine years, she has served as a
counselor, activity head, and head counselor. Though she
does many various duties during the summer, her main responsibilities are to
oversee the daytime activities and serve as Program Director of for Camp Skyline.
Wendy joined the Skyline team as a counselor and Activity Head in the summer of 1999, leading activities such as circus, gymnastics, ropes course and climbing tower. Now on the Administrative Staff, she serves as Trips Director for the summer months, and Winter Programs Director during the off-season. Along with Larry Johnson, Wendy facilitates the "Skyline Challenge", which is a team-building program aimed at increasing the efficiency of groups and teams.
Amanda came to Skyline the summer of 2005 as a senior counselor in
Riverside. She taught and assisted with horseback riding which happens
to be another passion in her life. She also helped with activities such as
chorus & drama and swimming. Now as a part of the administrative team,
she is working full-time year round at Skyline. In 2006 Lindsey graduated Cum Laude from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Business Management and Recreation Leadership. Currently Lindsey works full time at Skyline as the Assistant Director of Day Programs and resides in Rossville, Georgia. She enjoys canoeing, tennis, and shopping. Together, Sally, Larry, Alisa,
Amanda, Wendy and lindsey are working
hard to make Skyline the best. In addition to their daily duties of preparing
the grounds and program for the summer, the staff travels to a number of cities
and towns throughout the southeast for slide presentations, camp fairs and job
fairs -- all in an effort to make Camp Skyline the best in summer camps for
girls. |
