Leadership

Sally & Larry Johnson

Sally graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1993 with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She started at Skyline in 1977 as a camper.

Her love for children and camp led her to be a counselor and later to become a Director and part owner in 1997. Sally oversees the running of camp and it’s programs and works with the Skyline Foundation.

Larry graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1992. While there he was a member of the FSU Flying High Circus. He joined the Skyline staff in 1995 and built the Skyline Circus and it has been “flying high” since. Larry directs the winter groups program when camp is not in session and coordinates the CampStuff program during the summer.

Alisa Harrison Gillis

Skyline Summer Director, Alisa Gilis and family.

Alisa Gillis has been a part of Skyline since the summer of 1996. She has filled many roles on staff such as Head Counselor, Trips Director, and Program Director. Alisa now serves as Summer Director and works throughout the year to recruit and prepare for the summer. She has most enjoyed seeing the difference Skyline has made in many campers lives and watching many grow into counselors and dedicated young women. Alisa earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Mississippi College and went on to earn her Master’s of Education from UTC. She has worked in the arts, teaching, and children’s ministry, and enjoys bringing that work experience to the camp setting. Alisa lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her husband Jerry and their daughter Mary Margaret.

Lindsey Brown Gallaher

Lindsey is the Daytime Program Director of Camp Skyline.

Lindsey started at Skyline in the summer of 2006 as a Senior Counselor and Administrative Intern. In the Fall of 2006 she graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in both Business Management and Recreation Leadership. She is currently the Daytime Program Director at Skyline. During the off season Lindsey handles the marketing for Skyline and travels around the Southeast recruiting campers and counselors. Lindsey lives in Flintstone, Georgia with her husband Jeffrey.

Sarah Kate Donnelly

Sarah Kate Donnelly is Camp Skyline's newest Administration addition.

After a quick trip through Mentone and an impromptu camp tour upon seeing a sign for a girl’s camp, Sarah Kate’s adventures at Skyline began! In 1999, she kicked off her first summer as a camper, eventually grew to become a Junior and Senior Counselor, and is now thrilled to serve as our Chaplain and Trips Director. Hailing from Tallahassee, Florida, our tried and true Seminole graduated from The Florida State University in 2010 with a degree in Recreation Administration. While at FSU, she performed with the FSU Flying High Circus (just like Larry!) on the Mexican Cloud Swing, Flying Trapeze and much more. Sarah Kate lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee and does not mind the humidity change at all.

Brennen Riddle

Night time Director

Brennen Riddle first started her Skyline adventure in 1997 as a mini camper in the old Al’s Roost! Since her camping years, she has served as Senior counselor, Head Counselor of Hut Row for three years, and is now our Nighttime Program Director. Brennen studied Recreation Administration at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS and is currently living in her hometown of Rome, GA.
