Meet Our Owners and Directors

With decades of Camp Skyline experience, our leadership team is here to help train, encourage, and support our camp staff. We’d love to work with you!

Sally & Larry Johnson

Sally first came to Skyline as a camper in 1977. Her love for children and camp led her to be a counselor and later a Director and owner in 1997. Sally attended Auburn University and graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1993 with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

Larry graduated from Florida State University with a bachelors degree in physical education in 1992. While there he was a member of the FSU Flying High Circus. He joined the Skyline staff in 1995 and built the Skyline Circus which has been “flying high” ever since. During the summer, Larry runs CampStuff and directs the winter groups program when camp is out.

Sally and Larry have two children and three grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, snow skiing, many outdoor activities and traveling.

Frances Estes Lindsey

Frances began her years at Skyline in 1975 as a young camper. She later graduated from Birmingham Southern College in 1992 with a degree in Human Resource Management and then received her Masters from Samford University in Early and Elementary Childhood Education. Her wonderful nine years as a camper inspired her to send her two daughter’s to Skyline as well. Her son also helped out with the Caving, Survival and Repelling class on campus. She now serves as Camp Mom and Alumnae Director at Skyline and spends her time loving on camp families ages 6-106. Having recently moved to the Mentone area, she and her husband own Little River Hardware Store and have fallen in love with this unique community. When Frances is not working at camp she enjoys traveling to see her extended family, cooking and reading lots of books.
