Sally & Larry Johnson
Sally graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1993 with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She started at Skyline in 1977 as a camper.
Her love for children and camp led her to be a counselor and later to become a Director and part owner in 1997. Sally oversees the running of camp and it’s programs and works with the Skyline Foundation.
Larry graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1992. While there he was a member of the FSU Flying High Circus. He joined the Skyline staff in 1995 and built the Skyline Circus and it has been "flying high" since. Larry directs the winter groups program when camp is not in session and coordinates the CampStuff program during the summer.
Alisa Harrison Gillis
Alisa Harrison Gillis has been a part of Skyline since the summer of 1996. She has since then filled many roles on staff such as Head Counselor, Trips Director, and Program Director for seven years. Alisa now serves as Summertime Director and works
throughout the year to recruit and prepare for the summer. She has most enjoyed developing Skyline’s leadership program and seeing her campers grow into counselors and dedicated young women.
Alisa earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Mississippi College and went on to earn her Master’s of Education from UTC. She has worked in the arts, teaching, and children’s ministry, and enjoys bringing that work experience to the camp setting. Alisa lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with her husband Jerry and their cat Stormy.
Lindsey Brown Gallaher
Lindsey started at Skyline in the summer of 2006 as a Senior Counselor and Administrative Intern. In the Fall of 2006 she graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in both Business Management and Recreation Leadership. She is currently the Daytime Program Director at Skyline. During the off season Lindsey handles the advertising for Skyline and travels around the Southeast recruiting campers and counselors. Lindsey lives in Flintstone, Georgia with her husband Jeffrey.
Wendy Brown Spillman
Wendy Brown Spillman began her camping career in the summer of 1999 as the gymnastics and circus teacher at Camp Skyline. Falling effortlessly into her love of camping and children, Wendy has been with Skyline since that first amazing summer! Graduating in 2004 from Jacksonville State University with a Degree in Recreation Administration. Wendy joined the administrative staff of Skyline, becoming Winter Program Director, followed by Trips Director. Wendy is now the Director of Skyline’s Night Time Program. Her primary work through out the off season includes helping hire the counselor staff and traveling for camper recruitment. Wendy lives in Fort Payne, Alabama with her husband, Shane, and their daughter, Avery.
Molly Parker
A Montgomery native, Molly first encountered Camp Skyline as a camper in the summer of 1995 and has returned over the years as a junior counselor, senior counselor, activity head, and intern. She has a love for summer camps and working with youth, which she has done in several capacities including serving as a volunteer YoungLife leader. After graduating with a Communications Major from Furman University in 2009, she moved to Denver, CO to serve with AmeriCorps for a year. She is now thrilled to be returning to Camp Skyline full-time as the Chaplain and Trips Director as well as assisting with camper and counselor recruitment during the off-season. Molly lives in Mentone and loves getting to play at camp all the time!
