COVID-19 UPDATE

May 15, 2020

Dear Skyline Families,

We hope this letter finds all of you well and virus free. First, we want to thank all of you for your encouragement, support and especially your prayers for this summer. We can’t begin to tell you how much it means to us.

In all honesty, this is not the letter we wanted to write. It is not how we wanted our prayers to be answered, yet we feel God has answered. Due to Covid-19 and all the uncertainty, we have come to the extremely difficult decision to cancel camp for the summer of 2020. Safety has always been a top priority and we have made this decision with much prayer and research and feel that it is in the best interest of our campers, staff and all who would be at camp during the summer.

Since we are not able to have camp as we know it, the assistant directors and I have put together something for our campers called Skyline Connect!!! We are excited about it and hopefully you will be too.

We know you have questions and we will do our best to answer those in this letter.

What about refunds? We have several options for you. We ask that you email us at info@campskyline.com to let us know what option is best for you and your family. This needs to be done by Friday, May 22. We will begin to process your requests by the middle of June.
Roll over: You may roll over your daughters fees to 2021. If you choose to do this, you will receive summer 2021 at 2020 prices. By doing this, you will get first priority in choosing your session before we open registration for next summer.
Full refund: If you choose, you may receive a full refund. Please allow us adequate time to process this request. Registration for summer 2021 will not be open until June 15. At this time all camp fees will be at the 2021 rate. Partial refund: You may roll a portion of your tuition over to 2021 and receive the rest as a refund.

What about age outs? If you have a daughter that is an age out, you will receive an email with those options with in the next week.

If my daughter is an ACIT will she have to apply again for summer 2021? Yes.

Is there anything we can do to help? We covet your prayers. It takes money to run a great camp and while we have been good stewards of that money the next two years will be tight. We ask that you continue to pray for us.

What is Skyline Connect? Skyline Connect is camp for this summer. It is not camp as we know it but it will be a form of Skyline that your daughter(s) can do at home. Skyline Connect will be a video series that will be posted for our families. The videos will be 40 minutes to an hour long so don’t worry it will not keep your daughter(s) on a computer all day. She will be able to do this at her own pace and when it is convenient for your family. It will be available starting Sunday, June 14 and end the evening of Thursday, June 25. Each night during these weeks, we will go live on our social media at campfire. This will begin around 7:30pm Central time and will be a time to discuss our summer theme and have shout outs. Be on the lookout for more information about Skyline Connect over the next month!

How much does Skyline Connect cost? Get excited!!! It’s FREE.

Is there anything we need to do to prepare for Skyline Connect? Yes! We will post a “packing list” June 1 for everything you will need.

Can my friends that have not been to camp before participate? Absolutely they can!

Are you still having Fall Mother/Daughter Weekend? Yes, providing that guidelines from the Alabama Health Department and CDC will allow us to have a normal weekend. You may sign up for this weekend on our website.

Hopefully we have answered your questions, if you have more please let us know. Again, thank you for your support, encouragement and prayers. We will miss all of you this summer and can’t wait for summer 2021. We feel it will be the best summer ever!!

In Him,

Sally and Larry Johnson
