The girls woke up excited to “take Skyline back.”

At morning devotion, Edmae led the girls in a reflection on Psalm 23:3! “He restores my soul.” They learned that God can renew and refresh our spirits through reading the Bible, praying, and spending time with Christ-like friends. These practices help us feel closer to God and restore our hearts when we feel tired or overwhelmed.

Rifelery

The girls are working hard to qualify for Marksman and Pro‑Marksman levels! To earn Marksman, they need to score at least 15 points in a round five times in a row. To reach Pro‑Marksman, they must score more than 15 points, five times in a row!

Sports

The girls are having a soccer tournament! They were split into teams and had to decide together who would play in defense, midfield, and striker positions. Each position played a key role, and the team that communicated and worked together the best came out on top!

Musical Theater

The girls spent the afternoon working on their camp play! Some rehearsed their lines to get them memorized (“off-book”), while others painted hats and glued on dog ears to create props. Meanwhile, the costume team tried on different outfits to choose the perfect look for each character!

Mountain Biking

Today, the girls took a fun trip down the back roads of Mentone, learning how to use their gears to navigate the hills. After a scenic ride, they reached their destination and were rewarded with a refreshing break in the creek

Arts and Crafts

Today, the girls tackled two creative projects that let them leave a personal mark on camp. First, they crafted a gorgeous American flag using wooden pallet boards. Each girl added her own white handprint where the stars would go. Next, they turned their pinecones, acorns, leaves into animal portraits, bringing woodland creatures to life with a mix of natural materials and imagination!

Circus

The girls practiced a daring rope stunt in circus class known as the Mexican swing. They began by balancing on the rope, then swung into a split position, flipped forward, and completed the move with a smooth forward roll to the ground. This impressive trick required confidence, core strength, flexibility, and close attention to their counselors’ guidance!

Meals

For breakfast, the girls enjoyed blueberry muffins, bacon, and peaches.

For lunch, the girls had chicken surprise, peas, fried squash, rice, and rice krispies treats for dessert.

For dinner the girls enjoyed grilled chicken sandwiches, tatertotts, and snickerdoodles for dessert!

All day, the counselors teased that their brothers and friends were coming to “take over Skyline.” At dinner, the girls found the counselors dressed up as boys and ready to invade! To reclaim camp, each club needed to retrieve three items: their own club leaders, the club box, and their flag. Once the girls tagged four counselors (by grabbing their ankles), they could find their items, but the counselors fought back by throwing socks to send the girls out to get counted before they could rejoin. The winning club was the one that recovered all three items with the fewest “outs.” In first place was the troopers, the mounties took second, and the rangers came in third!
