Packing for Camp

Mini Session

Mini A, Mini B, or Mini C Session.

Two Week Session

1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Session.

What NOT to Pack

Cell phones, iPods, iPads, Kindle Fires, tablets, laptops, electronic games, or any items that can access the internet.

Packing Tips

  • All items must be clearly marked with the camper’s name. Lost items that are marked are more likely to get back to the owner.
  • Pack your daughter’s clothes in a footlocker or trunk.
  • Add clothing labels to your daughter’s clothes. Oliver’s Labels is an easy solution.
  • Try not to send your daughter’s best shorts, shirts, or jeans. At camp, clothes often get dirty and worn.
  • For everyday footwear, please do not send flimsy or backless shoes. (Exception: She will need flip flops for shower time.) Tennis shoes or sport sandals such as Chacos or Tevas are best.
  • A good flashlight is a necessity at camp.
  • A small shower caddy or bucket will be helpful in carrying shampoo and other items to the shower.
  • For younger campers, large 2-gallon Ziploc bags may be used to pack a day’s clothing (shirt, shorts, underwear, and socks).
  • For new campers, please pack one red, one green, and one blue shirt. These are the colors of our clubs. This way when your camper finds out what club she is in she will have something of that color to wear on club competition days.
  • Many campers bring a shoe holder to hang over the top bunk. It is a place to keep smaller items readily available like toiletry items and stationary.

Laundry

Laundry is optional and sent out at the end of the first week for our two week campers. If a camper is staying four weeks or more, laundry will be sent out between sessions. Be sure to clearly mark a name in ALL items. Mini campers do not send out laundry.
