Summer is getting closer, and that can only mean one thing—camp is almost here. There’s something about this time of year that brings a mix of excitement, anticipation, and just a little bit of impatience. The countdown begins, the packing lists start forming, and suddenly, all you can think about are the moments waiting just around the corner.
Camp isn’t just a place, it’s a feeling. It’s where normal routines fade away and are replaced with laughter, adventure, and memories that somehow last way longer than summer itself. Whether it’s your first year or you’ve been going for years, the excitement never really gets old.
One of the biggest things to look forward to is the people. Skyline has a way of bringing together friendships that feel instant and real. There’s something special about meeting new people who quickly turn into instant best friends. And if you’re returning, you already know how amazing it feels to see familiar faces again, picking up right where you left off.
Of course, part of the excitement comes from trying new things. Camp is one of the few places where stepping outside your comfort zone actually feels fun. Maybe it’s climbing higher than you thought you could, performing in a talent show, or just saying yes to something you’d normally avoid. Those moments often end up being the most rewarding.
And let’s not forget the energy, camp has its own kind of vibe. It’s loud, it’s goofy, it’s sometimes chaotic, but it’s always full of life. From themed days and club competitions to spontaneous dance parties and silly songs, there’s never a dull moment. You’re constantly surrounded by girls who are just as ready to have fun as you are.
So here’s to the countdown, the anticipation, and all the incredible memories we are waiting for Summer 2026
AND SO MANY MORE!!!! WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU!
Here are a few things some of the Admin are looking forward to this summer!
Frances: I’m most looking forward to serving as Camp Mom this summer and getting to love on all the campers in a special way. I love being there to comfort and support parents when they are child-sick and missing their girls while they’re away. Camp is also full of moments you could never plan, and I can’t wait to laugh until I cry at all the funny things that happen only at camp. There is truly nothing like the joy, love, and memories that camp brings each summer.

Ivy: I can’t wait to welcome you all to camp and see your smiling faces on opening day! Watching each girl meet new friends, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and have the best time being surrounded by our incredible counselors! I can’t wait for the dress-up days, singing loudly in the dining hall, and all of the energy at club competitions!
