Important SeptemBER dates

Well, Howdy There, Camp Families!

I’m so happy we’re into my favorite time of the year, the “BER” months. The weather gets cooler, football is starting and the days are getting a little bit shorter. But the most important thing about the “BER” months is to remBER (see what I did there??) is that open enrollment for camp starts Thursday Sept 3rd at 9:00 CST!! We can’t wait to see who’s joining us for another great summer!

Speakin’ of dates, we’ve got some camper show dates coming up, and we’d sure love to see some friendly and familiar camp faces in the crowd!

September 22nd - Nashville, TN

September 27th — Fairhope, AL
September 28th — Mobile, AL

September 28th — Huntsville, AL
September 29th- Guntersville, AL

More details about each show will be emailed directly to you. And if one of these towns happens to be in your neck of the woods, come on out and cheer on Sally, Ivy, Frances, Evan and even our campers and counselors! Nothing quite like seeing your camp family out there doing their thing.

Staff applications go live September 15th!

Evan, Leigh and Emma Kate will be hitting the college campuses and spreading the good word about camp. If you know a college student who would make a terrific addition to our summer crew, send ’em our way! Here’s where they’ll be this month:

September 16th — Auburn, AL September 30th — Troy, AL

Tell your favorite college student: “Come spend a summer at camp. You’ll work hard, laugh harder, and probably come home with a whole new collection of best friends and stories.”

ACIT applications will be sent out September 25th to eligible campers — rising 8th grade and up.

And if you’re wondering what exactly an ACIT does, well, it’s pretty straightforward: you help keep the dining hall humming! As an ACIT, you’ll: Set tables Distribute food during meals Keep things replenished Return trays to the kitchen

Even better? ACITs get to attend camp for HALF PRICE!

Everybody knows you can’t have a girls camp without a little drama so here ya go…. Once you send in your ACIT Application, its a good time to say a little prayer (there’s never really a bad time to say a prayer), ACITs are selected by random drawing. We’ll draw 10 campers from the ACIT application pool for each session. Once those 10 campers have been selected, we’ll continue drawing names to create a waiting list.

So mark those calendars, keep your eyes peeled for those emails, and rememBER: Open enrollment- Thursday September 3rd at 9:00 CST
