The Bible, a Boat, & the First Quarantine

Hey Skyline Family!

I hope everyone is doing well. We are still missing our campers like crazy here on the mountain. There has begun to get a bit of a nip in the air as we transition into fall, but that just means we are getting closer to summer 2021!

I know that these past few months and even most of 2020 have been completely uncharted territory as far as Corona, quarantine, and having to adapt to a new normal. This got me thinking about a family in the Bible that was, also, quarantined except they were on a boat and for 40 days and 40 nights!

You have probably guessed by now I am talking about Noah and the Ark, right? Think about that for a second…spending 40 days and nights quarantined in a boat with no TV, no wifi, no phones, no tablets, no video games, no Youtube, and no way to go outside. Not to mention being in close quarters with lots of animals(that couldn’t have smelled great)!

So what did they do? Noah and his family spent their time praying, listening to God, spending time with each other, and taking care of the animals. They had faith that God would see them through the storm and they would come out better than before!

In this season of uncertainty, I encourage you to do the same. Pray, Wait, and Trust.

The really good news? Social distancing rules don’t apply to God. You can get as close as you want!
