You probably only know Camp how it looks in the summer with green grass, full trees, and LOTS of people running around. But as December comes in, the leaves start to fall, the air gets colder, and the eight of us who live and work here start to get in the Christmas spirit.

Sure Christmas at Camp looks different than our exciting summer months and busy fall, but we love being able to slow down, pause our travels, and spend some quality time together!

We kicked off the holiday season with Friendsgiving at Pickle’s house, where we all brought a side dish or dessert, and he provided the barbecue and s’mores. I can’t think of a better (or more delicious) way to ease into the holidays.

Around Camp, our maintenance men are putting the finishing touches on their new shed behind Hut Row and one of the ziplines got a facelift.

In the office we are working away interviewing and hiring staff, planning Recharge weekend in January, and doing some things for next summer. I’m looking forward to trading in our office White Elephant game for something new - a soup swap!

Last year, Evan and Larry hung lights around the local park just down the street from Skyline. On Monday (December 1st) the lights were back on with Christmas trees and a sign to match!

The highlight of the season is definitely our Skyline Christmas Party at Elevation Bistro. It’s always a night filled with great food and even better friends! After that, we all head our separate ways for the holidays and look forward to when we’re back together in the new year so we can really hit the ground running again!
