Mother Daughter weekends at Camp Skyline are a personal all-time-favorite of mine! I love the memories of my sisters and me with my mom heading up to the mountain for the weekend to reunite with counselors, show off my learned skills in activities, and make new camp friends I would hope to see in the summer. Because of this, I wanted to provide a snap shot of how the weekends go, and why it is such a popular experience here at Camp Skyline. If you’ve never signed up to watch your daughter thrive at camp from a front row seat, and try new things yourself, what are you waiting for?

The weekend officially opens Friday afternoon and ends Sunday mid morning. Let us know activities you and your daughter would like to take and sleep in the best cabins on the mountain. You’ll also have plenty of time to kick back and relax in the rocking chairs on the porch of the lodge overlooking Little River, or spend time on the swings or playing tetherball together.

We offered two spring mother daughter weekends this year, with Fall 2025 dates set for August 15-17, 2025. Sign Ups for Fall Mother Daughter weekend at Camp Skyline open May 13th, 2025! Spots fill up extremely fast, so save this date!

During the weekend you have the opportuinity to sign up for a few of your favorite activites. Each night you will get to experience a night time activity just like we do in the summer and also enjoy s’mores around the campfire. There will be plenty of relaxing time that you and your daughter can enjoy together as well, along with the new friends you’ve both gotten the chance to make!

We hope you both leave the weekend with new camp friends, new friend connections at home, and have the chance to reconnect with any old friends here at Skyline. Grab your mom-friends or your daughters’ favorite gals and their moms to join us for a getaway you won’t forget!

What can you expect out of a Mother Daughter weekend at Camp Skyline?

Friday

Arrive, unpack + get settled in, informational tour, dinner, nighttime activity to build new friendships and race against other mommy/daughter duos. Settle in by the campfire for a few songs and a quick devo, before sharing s’mores by the fire with your new friends + daughter.

Saturday

Wake up with a quick few songs & simple devo message at morning watch, then head over to the dining hall for breakfast! From here we have two activity periods before reuniting camp-wide for lunch. Our t-shirt corral is open and you get to pick up your brand new t-shirts. Optionally, you can wear these in your professional mother-daughter photos we offer after lunch. Then, back to more activities, and we reconvene for dinner. After dinner we have a fun nighttime activity like bingo for prizes or mother-daughter trivia. From here we all return to the campfire for another few songs and quick devo before getting tucked into bed.

Sunday

Wake up with a quick few songs & simple devo message at morning watch, then head over to the dining hall for breakfast! We have time for you to grab all your arts and crafts and pottery projects from Saturday’s activities together and our checkout information before one last activity period before you hit the road home. Our admin are available and ready to help with any questions about preparing, packing, and praying for camp this summer!

The weekend flies by, but the memories stay a lifetime. When is the last time you really spent extended time 1:1 with your daughter (without cell service)? Saw her interact with a new friend? Witnessed her conquer a fear or encourage a friend to do so? If you have to ponder the calendar weeks in your head to remember what you did instead… (1) you are not alone and (2) Sign-Up for Fall!

“I first attended Skyline during a Mother/Daughter weekend and I thought it was a little slice of heaven. I couldn’t believe all the amazing activities that were available for my girls to try that they would never get the opportunity to do otherwise — all with a focus on Christ.”
