The girls sprang out of bed this morning, thrilled about Talent Night
The girls dressed for the day and gathered for morning watch. This morning, Brookwood introduced the theme of the day: He Provides.
After flag raising, the girls headed to breakfast! For breakfast, the girls enjoyed French toast, sizzling bacon, and juicy grapes.
In pottery, the girls created whimsical mushrooms! Each one added her own personal touch — some gave their mushrooms faces, while others decorated them with bees, flowers, and tiny hats. Every piece was unique, reflecting each girl’s personality and creativity.
In cooking, the older girls whipped up delicious strawberry shortcake. They learned how to use beaters to whip heavy cream until it formed stiff peaks and even made their own strawberry compote from scratch! Meanwhile, the younger girls had fun making ice cream in a bag. They combined sugar and heavy whipping cream in one bag, placed it inside another filled with ice and ice cream salt, and shook it until the mixture turned into creamy homemade ice cream.
In arts and crafts, the girls created animal portraits! Using a variety of materials, they glued on different objects to add texture and bring their artwork to life.
In canoeing, the girls played exciting games on the water! They raced in a relay down to the bridge and back, tagging their teammates to launch the next round. The first team to make it back to the dock won the challenge!
In musical theater, the girls are getting their roles and diving into the script! They’ll also be picking out their costumes, bringing their characters to life as they prepare for the big performance.
CSR put their new skills to the test today! The girls climbed up the tower and then rappelled down, gaining confidence with each step. They also learned how to tie essential knots for their ropes, building both strength and skill
For lunch today, the girls enjoyed creamy chicken Alfredo served with a side of garlic-seasoned broccoli, and corn. For dessert, the girls enjoyed rich, fudgy brownies
For dinner, we enjoyed Philly cheesesteaks served with crinkle-cut fries and finished it off with warm snickerdoodle cookies for dessert.
For their nighttime activity, the girls put on a talent night and they had a blast! They showcased a variety of talents, from singing and dancing to impressive piano performances, filling the evening with fun, creativity, and applause!
