Today, the girls woke up to a crisp summer morning. They started their day at Morning Watch, where they learned more about how the Lord leads by still waters. The girls’ big takeaway from Morning Watch was that God’s presence and guidance can calm their minds.
After Morning Watch, the girls went to flag raising, where they said the Pledge of Allegiance. By now, the girls’ bellies were growling, so they headed to breakfast, where they got their fill of crunchy grapes, buttery biscuits, fluffy eggs, and yummy grits.
After a fulfilling morning—both spiritually and physically—the girls were ready for their activities.
Camp was full of buzzing excitement as the girls made new memories during a day packed with adventure. Today, the CSR girls had the chance to explore a new cliffside spot where they showed off their rappelling skills as they descended the cliffs.
Meanwhile, the girls in Photography learned from world-famous local photographers about framing a subject, the effects of lighting and exposure, and even received one-on-one feedback on their beautiful photos.
In addition to these exciting visitors, Mrs. Frances and Mrs. Ivy’s Bible Study class took a deeper look at the importance of trusting God by discussing the story of Queen Esther.
Amidst all the fun, the girls paused to recharge with a delicious lunch of baked potatoes, BBQ sandwiches, and ice cream, followed by some much-needed rest during rest hour.
After lunch, the girls in Archery practiced their aiming skills by trying to pop balloons tied to the targets. A few lucky girls popped balloons!
Alongside the action-packed activities, Cooking One and Two turned up the heat in the kitchen, making homemade pretzels and delicious peanut butter granola balls
By late afternoon, the girls were ready to cool off with a fun swim in the river. Overall, they enjoyed a day full of new experiences, meaningful conversations, and unforgettable memories
Congratulations to the Rangers, at Beli Deli the Rangers rang to the bell after finding the coveted horse show which earned them lots of points!
The girls began to wind down the night with a delicious dinner of authentic Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, chips, and the crowd favorite—brookies! Then they headed to the gym to enjoy an evening full of talent.
The girls were delighted by beautiful ballads, original dance routines, funny skits, counselor-led sing-alongs, and terrific tumbles.
To end another great day at camp, the girls joined hands around the campfire and sang Taps to wish camp goodnight.
