After many water fights and going all out on the last day of activities the girls got to sleep in a little bit this morning! We have been waiting all session long for Mrs.Donnas special scones. Today was the day they finally came out! To go along with the scones the girls had bacon and grapes!

Next up! Cabin clean up, the girls had their final cabin cleanup and last chance to win good house keeping for their cabin. The girls who were in the horseshow headed over to the barn to get saddled up! After cabin clean up all of camp went over to the stables to watch the horseshow! The girls had to trot, canter, and show off their diagonal! They were then brought out to the center to announce who won! Allie Carver took first, Lila Mange took second, and Lexi Maddox took third! All of the girls in the horseshow and even some of the counselors got dunked in the trough!

While everyone was at Beli Deli and club meeting CSR went on their last trip. The girls headed to eagles cliff, sally and larry’s property overlooking valleyhead! The girls used a frogger system and climbed and repelled off of the cliff. They have worked hard all session long learning new skills just for this trip! Once the girls completed their climb they enjoyed lunch with a senic view of the mountains. They learned that they could see three states from one spot: Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia! Back at camp, each club split off into their different meeting spots and practiced their fast and slow songs for banquet. Once club meeting was over the girls went to picnic, a classic packing day lunch! They got to enjoy their burgers, chips, and brookies wherever they wanted to sit around camp!

Today the girls went to County Fair! They had some classic activities open: tower zipline archery pickleball and volleyball. Our counselors have some special hobbies they get to teach the girls! They could learn how to tie knots with Anabeth and Bailey, the head of outdoor adventure! There were also other fun activities the girls could try out. They could go sing their hearts out to their favorite songs at karaoke. Have a water balloon fight and then go hug their counsleors afterwords and get them all wet. Go to a epic dance party! Show off all their artistic abilities by drawing with chalk on the tennis courts. Play a classic game of cornhole. Even though it would be testing my patience the girls sat and learned how make paper swans and boxes out of paper. Where you find me is playing a competitive game of gaga ball.

Once county fair was over the girls went back to their cabins to pack up. Some of them have kept their truck nice and organized all session long, but lets be honest yall know your kids the best and know that they probably arent the best at keeping things nice and tidy! They had three hours to pack up all their belongings and if they finished early they could talk to their cabin mates, play fun games, and make bracelets. We also know as a girl we love to get ready and do our hair and makeup. With the extra time some of the girls spent it getting ready and beautifying theirselfs for banquet. When they were all finished getting ready they went to flag lowering. At awards all the campers got their patches! They also learned about the skyline foundation that helps campers who cant afford camp be able to come. They even get a special patch if they donate to the foundation! The grand campers and all the girls that donated to the foundation gathered together on the gym stairs to get their picture taken by our very own photographer!

Banquet!!! We got to have most of camps favorite meal, chicken tenders, green beans, mashed potatoes, and rolls. Lets not forget about market sauce. Once we were done eating dinner the girls got drumsticks. Our videographer and photographers have been working hard all session long on the slideshow! While the girls were eating their dessert they all watched the slide show remembering all the moments they shared together this session! Yall can even watch the slide show at T-shirt corral and in the office tomorrow! The girls then received their charms for their bracelets if they have been at camp for over four years. Next the campers shared their toast they had personally written for their counselors. To learn who won honor camper and counsleor make sure to ask yalls kids tomorrow! The troopers took a landslide victory winning the horseshow cup, point cup, and the spirit cup. The girls headed to the river for vespers. The age outs gave their speeches. Trooper leader Adele Palmer told us the horseshoe was by circus in her speech! Sally gave the final campfire, and the clubs sang their slow songs! All the campers went to their cabins where they had dance parties and are going to attempt a all nighter at riverside! Most of the girls dont make it all night. The girls are all super excited to see yall tomorrow and dont forget to check out T-shirt corral for some Camp Skline merch. For the dads check out the dad pad on the side of the office where you can have some sausage, watch golf, and the best part have a conversation with Larry!
