The girls woke up energized, each ready to take on Speed Challenge!
Edmae led Morning Watch, teaching the girls how God prepares and cares for us using Psalm 23. They learned that, just like a shepherd who guides sheep to green pastures and restores their souls, God leads, protects, and provides for each of us.
Breakfast: The girls had biscuits, sausage, and grits!
Lunch: The girls enjoyed teriyaki chicken, with vegetable rice, vegetable medley, and chocolate cake!
Dinner: The girls had pizza with pineapple corn and camp famous brookies!
The girls finished up their pottery projects mushrooms, mini teacups, and charms and spent the day painting them. They learned about underglazes, which are like paint and stay vibrant under a clear glazespeckled glazes, which have tiny particles that melt in the kiln to create fun spots!
The girls have been working hard all session on their dance for Showtime, and today they finally put every part together! They’ll be performing to Bruno Mars’s upbeat track “Perm,” a fun, confidence-boosting song! The girls are excited to surprise the rest of camp with their performance this Wednesday at Showtime!
The girls were thrilled to take a swim on this hot day! They headed down to the riverfront, dove off the dock, and played on the lily pads!
The girls got creative today, making personalized stickers they could wear or take home. They painted their designs and carefully waited for them to dry before proudly showing them off at the Belideli during hangout time. In addition to crafting stickers, they also decorated covers for their Bibles!
The girls made delicious dirt cakes today! They started by preparing chocolate pudding and letting it chill in the freezer. While the pudding cooled, they crushed Oreo cookies to create the “dirt” topping. Then they built their treats by layering pudding, Cool Whip, and Oreo crumbs, and finished by adding gummy worms on top. It was a fun and tasty way to enjoy dessert!
The girls had an amazing out of camp adventure at Howard’s Waterfall Cave in Trenton, Georgia! They explored the horizontal cave’s tunnels and crawled through its passages to reach an impressive waterfall inside. Along the way, they discovered ancient Cherokee syllabary inscriptions and spotted colorful salamanders!
Tonight, the girls competed in relay challenges by club and age group, all striving to finish first!
Shoe Mix:The girls remove one shoe and toss it into a pile in the center of the circle. The shoes get mixed up, and then they line up at a starting point. When it’s time, each girl races one at a time to find her own shoe, put it on, and sprint back to tag the next friend, who does the same!
Piggy‑back relay:One girl climbed onto her partner’s back, and together they ran to the circle, switched places, and raced back to the outer line. Then the next pair took their turn!
Pyramid: Each team club into the circle, quickly builds a small human pyramid then breaks it apart to race back.
Ball hop: The girls line up in teams. Each girl places a dodgeball between her legs and hops to the outer circle. Once she reaches the spot, she switches places the ball to the next teammate!
Hula Line:The girls stand in a line or circle with their arms linked, forming a continuous chain. Starting with a hula hoop at one end, they pass it along the line. Without letting go of each other’s hands or using their hands to move it by stepping or wriggling their bodies through the hoop!
Over Under: The girls stand in a line and take turns passing a dodgeball down the row. First, they pass it over their heads, then the next teammate passes it under their legs, continuing this over‑under pattern until the ball reaches the end of the line.
The girls also participated in other various relay races! The Rangers secured first place, the Troopers came in second, and the Mounties placed third.
