The girls enjoyed a leisurely morning today, waking up at 8:45. By 9:00, the girls were off to flag-raising and then made their way to a delicious breakfast. Mrs. Donna served up her famous homemade donuts, fresh strawberries, and crispy bacon

After breakfast, the girls moved on to cabin cleanup before changing and getting ready for Sunday school and church.

In Sunday school, the girls explored Psalm 23, focusing on how “God’s rod and staff comfort and guide us.” They learned that just as a shepherd uses a rod to protect the sheep from danger and to count and correct them, God’s rod (the bible) offers strength, authority, and loving discipline

And the staff, represents direction, care, and rescue, guiding sheep away from harm and drawing them back when they stray To make this relatable, the counselors gave a real-life example: just like parents lovingly discipline their children, not out of anger, but because they care. God uses His rod and staff to lead us in love. When we go through difficult seasons of life, His rod protects and His staff guides, comforting us through the Spirit and the Scriptures.

In church, the girls welcomed a special guest: Dave Latham, a local pastor from a nearby city. He introduced them to what a parable is: a simple story that leads you toward a deeper truth. To illustrate, he shared the Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15:3–7)

In the story, a shepherd with one hundred sheep notices that one is missing. Even though ninety-nine remain safe, he ventures out until he finds the lost one. He then joyfully carries the sheep home on his shoulders and celebrates with friends and neighbors.

Dave explained that this parable shows how God seeks us when we stray. Just like sheep, we can get lost, but we can’t find our way back on our own. God comes searching, saves us, and secures us.

For lunch the girls had chicken tenders mashed potatoes green beans rolls and chocolate eclair.

After rest hour the girls headed to carnival! The girls got a special treat, snow cones and fresh popcorn! The girls had fourteen activities they could walk around to!

All of the girls had campfire together and then headed for the gym where each club gave a cheer and then headed to riverside field while the counselors were hiding! The girls all buddied up and then went and looked for their counselors! Once the girls found a counselor they had to walk with them to the gym where the counselor would get a X on their forehead!
