In a world where so much of our time is spent looking at screens, there is something truly special about a summer spent unplugged. At camp, the phones are put away, the TVs are turned off, and the girls get the chance to experience something that can be hard to find in everyday life: being fully present.

Being unplugged gives girls the opportunity to build real friendships. Instead of texting or scrolling, they are laughing around the campfire, talking during cabin clean up, making memories by Little River, and getting to know the girls sitting beside them. These are the moments that turn camp friendships into lifelong friendships.

It also gives girls the freedom to slow down and enjoy God’s creation. Whether they are watching the sunset, singing at campfire, or just playing outside, they have the opportunity to step away from the noise of the outside world and hear God’s voice a little more clearly.

Most importantly, being unplugged reminds us that some of life’s best moments cannot be captured on a screen! That is what makes camp memories so special!

We love that camp gives girls the chance to disconnect from technology and reconnect with what matters most: their friendships, themselves, and the Lord.
