The girls had a rainy start to the day, but that did not stop them from having a great day!

The girls began their day in the dance hall with a special morning watch led by Helen Hall. She introduced the theme of the day: He Restores. The girls learned how God can restore our hearts, minds, and spirits through prayer and reading the Bible. It was a peaceful and uplifting way to start the day, setting a thoughtful tone for everything that followed!

After morning watch, the girls made their way to breakfast, ready to fuel up for the day ahead. On the menu this morning were warm blueberry muffins, juicy peaches, and crispy bacon . There was also a variety of cereal to choose from, so everyone found something they enjoyed.

During fitness time, the girls had a blast playing Just Dance. It was the perfect mix of exercise and fun, movement, and of course, some serious dance moves! Everyone got involved, showing off their best routines and cheering each other on. It was a great way to stay active while having fun as a group.

Even though the girls weren’t in the water, the girls still had a great time at canoeing with a fun, on-land game called Bow and Stern. Each girl had a paddle and listened closely for one of two commands: “bow” or “stern.” When a command was called, they had to quickly move in that direction and grab the ore next to them. If the paddle hit the ground before they grabbed it, they were out!

The girls have been hard at work in cheerleading, building their skills day by day as they prepare for their big performance next week. Each day brings something new, and their progress has been amazing to watch. Today was a big moment they successfully hit full extension in their stunts! Their confidence is growing, and the teamwork and determination they’re showing is truly impressive.

During arts and crafts, the girls got creative by making bandana necklaces or bracelets. They had hundreds of charms to choose from, and each girl picked ones that felt special and unique to her. Some chose flowers, dogs, keys, or hammers each charm telling a little story about who they are. It was a fun and personal way to express themselves through their creations!

In Bible study today, the girls learned about the story of Esther and how she trusted in God’s plan, even when things were uncertain. To help bring the lesson to life, they did a fun and meaningful activity about trust. Working in pairs, one girl closed her eyes while the other guided her. At first the girls used their hands, then they only used their voices. The activity helped the girls understand that even when we can’t see or feel God, He is still with us, guiding and protecting us. All we have to do is listen for His voice and trust Him, just like Esther did.

For lunch today, the girls enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken surprise, green beans, and crispy fried squash. The highlight came at the end with a sweet treat. Vanilla cake topped with a rich chocolate glaze.

For dinner, the girls enjoyed hot dogs with fries, and finished off with sugar cookies for dessert

The girls told the campers their “brothers” are coming to take over camp all day for Get Skyline Back. Once the counselors dressed up and hid, the girls were released. As the girls arrived at the circus, archery, or the riverside field they chased after the disguised counselors. If a camper was struck with a sock, they had to pause and be counted before rejoining the game. The girls needed to find a hidden object in each area and eliminate all counselors in that zone before moving on to the next field. The Mounties claimed first place, the Rangers finished second, and the Troopers came in third.
