It’s already the second day of Activities!!!! Here at camp we had a cool morning to start the day. We started the day off right at morning watch! The girls learned the overall theme of the day: He Shepards. They learned what a shepard does and how God is our shepard! The counselors gave them examples of how God leads us through giving us the Bible to lead us the same way a shepard leads his sheep. Afterword the girls headed to flag raising and then the most important meal of the day as some would say BREAKFAST! At breakfast the girls enjoyed cinnamon toast sticks, bacon, and cantelope. Dont worry if your daughters dont like cinnamon toast sticks there was variety of cereal and a assortment of fuit to choose from!
The girls hopped right into their activities today! Many activities took out of camp trips. Fitness set out on a walk through Mentone to the alpaca farm! On the way back the girls stopped and got a loli pop from the hardware store. Canoeing wowed us with many classes making it all the way to camp laney using their hard work and determination. CSR did so well on their first day that they got to take a special trip today! The girls went down to Mount.Zahn and climbed and repelled off a cliff! Tomorrow they get to go to their first cave. They will navigate their way though Pettyjons cave using and learning survival skills. In the cave it will be around 57 degrees, so the girls get a nice break from the Alabama heat! Back at camp painting set out on a adventure to find rocks to paint and leave around backporch! The girls used their creativness and made strawberries, ladybugs, sunsets, and many others you can check out on closing day! Sports brought back a classic game of sardines to see their hiding spots check out the daily youtube video!
This was many of the campers first time playing our brandnew night time activity! All of the girls brought out their club spirit through their themes. The troopers were christmas themed. The rangers were tacky tourist. The mounties were dressed as princesses. I know this game is also new to yall as parents, so this is how you play. The girls each have four lives. If they get hit with a sock then they lose a life. The main objective of the game was to make it to the circle on circus field. The girls had so much fun dodging socks from their counselors dressed up as princesses, cars, superheroes, and, and many other fun characters! The very first girl to make it the center was a mini camper! Make sure to ask your daughters about the game in letters, emails, or even send a picture of them playing with a waldogram! The troopers took first, ranger came right behind in second place, and mounties placed third place!
If you were wondering for lunch we had chicken alfredo, broccoli, corn, and cheesecake. For dinner we enjoyed filly cheesesteaks with fries and camp famous brookies. The girls also have a salad bar and peanutbutter and honey sandwhiches!
