Hey there parents! We had a little bit of a rainy day here at camp. The rain held off this morning so we were able to have morning watch outside! The lodge has officially taken over morning watch. Edmae started off this morning and taught the girls about how God leads us. Just like sheep we get lost in the world and we have God who shows us the right direction and steps to take! Half of edmae helped raise the flag and then we headed off to breakfast. At breakfast we had biscuits, sausage, and cantaloupe for breakfast!

It is the minis last day of activities. Last year I got the opportunity to be a mini counselor twice. My favorite day was the last day of their activities when they came and told me all the extra special things they got to do all day. Some of my favorites to hear about is the water ballon fight in sports class, the final touches the girls put on their arts and crafts projects, painting the horses in horseback, and hearing how excited they were for their dance in front of the whole camp! They also brought back the tradition of putting a arrow though a apple and placing it on the girls head for a picture, so parents make sure to check out waldo to see the photos. Rifelery was shooting round targets to practice for their tournament. I have previously taught gymnastics so sometimes I get to stop by and help out. Today the girls were working on falling into bridge and back kickovers. Many of the girls have gained new skills just being here for four days of classes now. We also had a handstand competition at the end of class. Musical theater is putting a fun twist on Annie. From what Iv’e heard so far they are going to rap a few songs. I got to hear the sun will come out tomorrow and the camper playing annie voice truly does fit the role. I stopped by the gym and got to join in on some fun games and even learn some new games from the campers. At first the girls played octopus then tips and double bounce. These were definitely new games to me, so yall should definitely ask your daughters how to play whenever they get home.

Cabin clean up!!!!!! Joy wood took home the win again today! Edmae was not far behind and were very close to winning. On the other side of the river Riverside room seven won! We also had two birthdays here at camp: Noble Grace and Hannah Whitworth! After we sang happy birthday the girls did a classic skyline tradition of running around the tables and then blew out their candles. For lunch we had country fried steak with rolls, green beans, scalloped potatoes, and vanilla cake with chocolate cake.

All yalls daughters came prepared for the dance! They all had on their red white and blue ready to dance the night away! We started the dance inside the gym. The minis performed their dance and then went and watched the movie in the dining hall. Thankfully the rain held off and we were able to move the dance to the tennis courts! The girls all had so much fun dancing with each other and maybe with a few boys aswell! If the girls didnt want to stay at the dance they had the option to go watch the movie! Once the dance was over the girls went to campfire and then got ready for bed to get a good nights rest!
