Hello parents!!! It’s our last final day of activities!!! The girls were all so excited this morning for their final day of fun! For those of you that weren’t a camper we go all out on our final day of activities and most their are many water battles! The girls started their day off strong at morning watch were they learned from the Totem hall counselors how God pursues us! We still had one more thing to do before we went to breakfast! Once they were dismissed from morning watch everyone lined up by cabin at flag raising! Every morning the quietest cabin gets dismissed to breakfast first!
Alright now onto activities! For the older girls they had their classic dip day! For the first dip they made a savory rotel dip that they dipped in tortilla chips! Then they had a nice little sweet treat for the second dip BROWNIE DIP!!! The younger girls got their hands dirty making oreo balls! They used all of their strength and crushed up the oreos in to very fine pieces and then mixed it with cream cheese! Then it was time for them to roll it into balls to set into the freezer! Most classes have a nice little water day on the last day! In tower the girls had to accept their fate as they might have gotten hit with the water balloon if the person throwing the balloon had good aim! Over at horseback the girls were competing for club points in the first part of their horse show! I had some of them try to explain how they were judged so I will do my best to try and explain to yall (I have no knowledge of horseback riding). The girls had to do a canter. A canter is not a walk or a gallop but rather the step in between. They could also do a full seat or a half seat and it is the riders preference! The girls were also judged on their trot and post trot. Today determined who got to ride in the Grand Championship tomorrow in front of all of camp! RIfelery shot a little bit different today! Instead of doing the usual lay down on the bed and shoot the girls shot kneeling one one knee and also changed their targets! FItness had a cheat day and got to watch a movie for their final day!
We had a tie on the hut row and lodge side of the river! Both Edmae and Dewy’s Den both scored a 9.5! On the other side of the river we had three rooms score a perfect ten! Riverside rooms three, ten, and eleven! Although all three got a perfect ten we only had one winner Riverside room 11. We have had a little bit of a change up this summer on our orange chicken meal. Instead of orange chicken we have teriyaki chicken with vegetable fried rice! For dessert we had brownies with a little dollop of icing on the top. For dinner we had the usual pizza with pineapple and corn! For our sweet treat we had gooey snickerdoodle cookies!
Let me tell you these girls did not disappoint! This was one of the best showtimes all summer long! Now ill save the best for last but all of the activities have been working so hard all session long on their performances! Gymnastics had their routines down and one girl performed her back tuck she learned here at camp! Bible study had over fifty girls in their class and even though the music quit working it didnt stop them they camp singing and dancing along like nothing happened! Dance shocked everyone with their special visitors! Mrs. Frances, Ivey, April, and Emma joined dance for their routine! They marched the beat of the little drummer boy and every move was exactly to the beat of the song! THE MUSICAL!!!! This had to be one the funniest musicals I have ever seen. The girls had to do a little improv, but you wouldve never known! Mrs.Hannagan wowed the whole crowd with her sassness and honestly the ability to keep character after performing a scene that had the whole camp laughing! It was a great way to end the night!
